Red Cups are Necessary...

The summer has finally arrived after one of the longest winters in memory. I put away my Long Johns and hoodies two weeks ago, and now I'm ready for lazy Sunday afternoons, replete with barbecue smoke, sundresses, line dances, pop-up backyard shindigs, and of course, magical red Solo cups. Lol.

Most of my friends and family have been raised to always be prepared for any situation, and I prepare for summer diligently. My grills are always cleaned after each time using them (an onion on hot racks works wonders!), my multiple coolers are cleaned, aired out, and one is always ready for mobile adventures. Oh, and red Solo cups are placed in each vehicle, the garage, and the basement because randomness happens.

"Come by for a minute" might be the text received, but that minute visit might turn into a tipsy, music-filled adventure. Red cups will put in an appearance at some point. "Babe, let's chill in the backyard." Red cups. "The bar mitzvah starts at three." Red cups and parking lot pimping. Lol. "Your niece is having a party." Yup, even then. It's poor etiquette to drink from bottles, etc., at a gathering where children are present, but... as long as you have a red cup, it's alright.

The next time you're in the store buying mosquito repellent, hand sanitizer, lotion, or any of the other necessities for a prosperous summer, grab a pack of red cups. They're a summertime necessity. Cheers...
