Hey Auntie
Dear Auntie Oprah, Hey, you rocked it last night, your speech brought tears and heart-filled admiration. You have entered 'Auntie' status in my soul, and trust me, that's rarefied status, saved for my real Aunties. It's a new year, a new day, and a lot of sleepers are waking up. On my personal lists of movies to see this year, there are only three. I'm going to see 'Black Panther' and I'm taking Kym and a couple of my nieces to see 'A Wrinkle in Time.' 'Fantastic Beasts 2' is just for me. I digress. I know you're busy with all of the projects you continue to juggle, but I need some help. See, I wanna make a movie called "Harlem Magic" about the Harlem Renaissance and how it still reverberates today. Also, I wanna put together a '30 for 30' about the JRW Little League champs, "The People's Champs." I have it together in my mind and in my notebooks, but you know ain't nobody trying to connect with me until AFTER I make it happen. Help a brotha out. Lol. Keep being you, Auntie. Support Ava in anything she does, and cast your net further out in order to help other creative people. I rock with you, and have since 'A.M. Chicago.' I stood on a stage with you as my Mama whispered to you "You are so beautiful." Indeed. One love Auntie. P.S. Can you make caramel cake, banana pudfing, or a 'Tunnel of Fudge' chocolate cake? 'Cause then you'll be officially my Auntie. With love, Nephew Marlon S. Hayes
