The World is Waiting...

I've come to realize everyone on this third rock from the sun has some form of talent or gift. Whether it's as a non trained chef, an expert at all things mechanical, the eyes of an artist, or the thoughts of a writer, we've all been given something uniquely ours. The problem is, most of us don't recognize our gifts, or we think we're typical. We're not. The issue for most of us is how to get the most from the innate talents we have.

To be honest, I never really gave much thought about becoming a writer, I simply was. Lol. I mean, I've always written poetry and short stories, but I thought everyone else did as well, so I didn't think there was anything special about me. Oops. It was only after years of showing my writings to a selected few, I gained the courage to emerge from the closet. I've gotten better at my craft over time, and I'll continue to improve, knowing writing is my art form.

For those of you who cook effortlessly, take apart cars, plan events, or whatever else you have been given a gift for, I have only one question for you; what are you waiting for? Time is not infinite, and you'd be surprised at how quickly it can pass. No more deferring of dreams, because the world is waiting...
